He spearheaded the $1.7 million depot project with the support of the Chatsworth Chamber of Commerce, Historical Society and other organizations. Cherise McDonough, the director of Transit Tots Childcare Center, said the center will employ about 20 and can care for as many as 90 youngsters, ranging from 6-weeks-old babies to 5-year-olds.
