RADIO ELECTRIC SPECTRUM EQUIPMENT.
Equipment for monitoring and managing the radio electric spectrum in
the Republic of Panama is sought. Required equipment includes: control
and task center, remote stations, portable units, turnkey operation,
one-year maintenance, training of personnel. Estimated value of the
project is in the range of US$3-$5 million. This project will be funded
by the World Bank (Loan No. 4374-PAN): . Intel, the Government-owned
telecommunications company, was privatized last year. The British
company, Cable & Wireless, acquired 49% of the shares and assumed
control of the company. The Government owns another 49%, and the
