 RADA ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIES REPORTS RESULTS
HERZLIYA PITUACH, Israel, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- RADA Electronic

Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ: RADIF) today reported its unaudited consolidated results for the three- and nine-month periods ended Sept. 30, 1992.
Consolidated revenues for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 1992, reached a record $9,105,000 compared with $7,080,000 for the third quarter of 1991, an increase of 28 percent. A net loss of $612,000 or $.15 per share was incurred in the third quarter of 1992 as compared to net income of $374,000 or $.10 per share for 1991. Of the $612,000 loss in 1992, $160,000 relates to a reserve established as a result of the bankruptcy of a minor customer whose account receivable is now in doubt.
Consolidated revenues for the nine months ended Sept. 30, 1992, reached a record of $24,505,000 as compared with $19,710,000 for the comparable 1991 period, an increase of 24 percent. A net loss of $902,000 or $.22 per share was incurred in 1992 compared with net income of $780,000 or $.21 per share for the 1991 period.
As has been the case during all of 1992, the company continues to expend significant sums of money in order to commercialize its Automatic Test Equipment (CATS) from military to commercial applications and to penetrate the commercial market. These expenditures are instrumental in the losses incurred in 1992.
The company is gratified with the market penetration achieved to data as witnessed by the previously announced orders received from Continental Airlines, Olympic Airlines, Bedek Aviation, and others. Negotiations with other airlines and maintenance companies both domestic and international are at various stages of discussion.
Haim Nissenson, president of RADA, stated that management believes that the worldwide acceptance of CATS as a viable, efficient, and cost effective maintenance tool is setting the stage for RADA becoming a serious factor in a major industry.
RADA Electronic Industries Ltd. is incorporated in Israel and has subsidiaries in the United States and in Europe. The company is engaged in the development and marketing of advanced electronic equipment for the e?nse and commercial aviation markets.
