Long-term disability http://www.m2.com RAD Data Communications RAD Data Communications (also known as "RAD") is a privately held corporation, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, that designs and manufacturers specialized networking equipment. It was founded in 1981 by Zohar Zisapel and his brother, Yehuda. (RAD), a manufacturer of access equipment for data communications and telecomms applications, has unveiled the market's smallest entry-level DSL cell-site gateway with built-in pseudowire capabilities. According to the company, the ACE-3105 has been designed to accommodate the expansion in cellular backhaul traffic resulting from the widespread deployment of new mobile broadband services. By employing standard pseudowire emulation capabilities and clock recovery mechanisms, the gateway enables carriers to provision ATM and TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) A technology that transmits multiple signals simultaneously over a single transmission path. Each lower-speed signal is time sliced into one high-speed transmission. services over xDSL and high capacity, economical packet-switched networks (PSNs). By supporting 2G, 3G and 3.5G traffic, the product reduces capital expenses (CapEx) and shortens service rollout times, while enabling a gradual migration to PSNs. In addition, it lowers operating expenses (OpEx) by optimising radio access network (RAN) bandwidth utilisation through the grooming of TDM, ATM and Ethernet traffic onto a single network interface. HSPA asymmetric traffic can be emulated over ADSL2+ or 3G R99, while 2G GSM (voice and data) traffic can be transported over SHDSL SHDSL Single-Line High-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line SHDSL Symmetrical High-Density Digital Subscriber Line SHDSL Symmetrical High Bitrate Digital Subscriber Line (Ericsson) SHDSL Symmetrical Highspeed Digital Subscriber Loop .bis. The ACE-3105 offers a half 19" width and front access design, both of which are appropriate for the limited space installations typical for many cell stations. In addition, the device's weather-hardened enclosure ensures workability under adverse climatic conditions. No pricing details were disclosed. ((Comments on this story may be sent to info@m2.com)) |
