RAB working with union to avert engineers strike.

The engineers are fighting for higher annual salaries and improved health benefits claiming they sacrificed pay hikes when the market was in a slump.

The current average annual salary of a building engineer is $63,000. With overtime, many can make six figures.

The union has held a number of rallies, including one outside Rockefeller Center and the Time Warner Center The Time Warner Center is a mixed-use skyscraper developed by The Related Companies in New York City. The last major building strike lasted 30 days and was almost three decades ago.
