RAA announces partnership with Sims Group.

 (RRA RRA Registered Record Administrator. ), Houston, has announced Sims Group USA, Richmond, Calif., as its new service partner. Sims Group will provide de-manufacturing services for materials collected or managed by RAA's eCycling service in central and northern California Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. The region contains the San Francisco Bay Area, the state capital, Sacramento; as well as the substantial natural beauty of the redwood forests, the northern . Both parties will work together on marketing commodities to end markets, particularly those from end of life products.

"Our relationship with Recycle America Alliance provides us with an immediate and reliable source of material for the plant, and we are pleased to be working with them," Scott Miller, Sims Group USA's manager of environmental and legal affairs, says.

RAA's eCycling service enables local and state governments, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), commercial businesses and nonprofits to use a national network of drop-off centers, collection depots and regional processing centers operated by Waste Management and affiliated companies Affiliated Companies

Sims Group operates 12 recycling sites throughout North America in California, Virginia, Illinois and British Columbia, Canada, handling a range of metal, plastic and glass materials. Sims Group is one of the world's largest recycling companies with international operations in Australia, New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. RAA's eCycling service, with operations in more than 20 states, describes itself as the nation's leading coast-to-coast provider of electronics recycling. Recycle America Alliance processes electronics collected at more than 70 recycling or disposal facilities nationwide. It has four processing facilities in Phoenix, Houston, Minneapolis and Kernersville, N.C., and operates a nonferrous scrap metal facility in Long Branch, N.J. RAA has service contracts with ElectroniCycle of Gardner, Mass.; E-Recycling of Southern California of Paramount, Calif.; and Quicksilver quicksilver: see mercury.
