R.R. DONNELLEY TO EXPAND INTO POLAND

 CHICAGO, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company (NYSE: DNY), the world's Largest commercial printer, and the Polish- American Printing Association, Ltd. (PAPA) have signed an agreement to form DPA Printing Company, Sp. z o.o., a Donnelley/Polish-American (DPA) joint venture.
 Created to serve the Polish weekly and monthly magazine and newspaper insert markets, DPA is starting up a printing plant in Krakow, Poland. Production is scheduled to begin by the third quarter of 1994. The 70,000-square-foot facility initially will employ 120 people. Robert L. Spence, 52, vice president and division director of R.R. Donnelley Norwest Inc. in Greeley, Colo., has been named president of DPA and division director of the Krakow plant.
 PAPA currently prints newspapers and commercial material in Krakow and Gdansk, Poland. PAPA is a subsidiary of the Polish-American Enterprise Fund (PAEF), a private corporation created by the U.S. government in 1990 to encourage Polish private-sector development. PAEF and its affiliated funds have disbursed more than $140 million in equity, debt and other assistance, providing financing to over 2,400 private businesses throughout Poland.
