 R.O.C. TAIWAN FUND PRESIDENT RESIGNS AS PRESIDENT OF IIT
 TAIPAI, Taiwan, April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- International Investment


Trust Company Limited ("IIT"), the investment adviser to the R.O.C. Taiwan Fund (NYSE: ROC) ("the fund"), announced today that Steven R. Champion, president and chief executive officer of both IIT and the fund, has submitted his resignation as president and chief executive officer of IIT.
 The timing of Champion's departure from IIT and the identity of his successor have not yet been determined, but Champion stated that he would remain in his executive positions at IIT and the fund on an interim basis in order to provide for continuity of management and to help ensure IIT's smooth transition to a new chief executive officer. Champion will be assuming a position in international investment management at the Bank of America in San Francisco.
