R & P joins Walsh College to launch Michigan's only educational resource for family based business owners.

Raymond & Prokop is one of four founding sponsors of the new Walsh College Family Business Center, designed to provide new resources for those who own and manage family based businesses in Michigan Michigan (mĭsh`ĭgən), upper midwestern state of the United States. It consists of two peninsulas thrusting into the Great Lakes and has borders with Ohio and Indiana (S), Wisconsin (W), and the Canadian province of Ontario (N,E). .

The Center will offer owners, managers, faculty, and students a comprehensive learning community through a variety of opportunities such as educational forums and seminars, networking and web-based resources. Family businesses will pay only an annual $350 membership fee to enjoy all the benefits offered by the Center.

In addition to R & P, Walsh has brought together Michigan business leaders in the banking, CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000. , and insurance industries which will serve as advisors offering specialized spe·cial·ize
