LMDC's open, international competition will lead to the selection of a memorial design that will be located at the World Trade Center site and honor those lost in the September 11th attacks On September 11, 2001, in the deadliest case of domestic Terrorism in the history of the United States, a group of 19 terrorists hijacked four U.S. airliners for use as missiles against targets in New York City and Washington, D.C. and the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. The website will be the main source of information for the competition enabling individuals from around the world to register and to obtain the official competition guidelines.
