Quintiles, Kitasato University to Collaborate in Electrocardiogram Research.

Quintiles was founded in 1982 by Dennis Gillings and as of 2007 it has 18,000 employees.
 Transnational Japan announced on October 19 that its Indian affiliate Quintiles ECG ECG electrocardiogram.

ECG
Also called an electrocardiogram, it records the electrical activity of the heart.
 Services has agreed with the Kitasato University East Hospital to collaborate in research on electrocardiogram electrocardiogram /elec·tro·car·dio·gram/ (-kahr´de-o-gram?) a graphic tracing of the variations in electrical potential caused by the excitation of the heart muscle and detected at the body surface.  (ECG).

The aim of collaboration is to support upcoming changes in pharmaceutical regulations in accordance with the introduction of E14 Guidelines stipulated by the International Conference on Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) in Japan.

Specifically, Quintiles ECG Services will analyze ECG data provided by the East Hospital according to the ICH E14 Guidelines. Subsequently, the collaboration will evaluate the influence of postural changes and other movements on the QT interval of the ECG from the perspective of clinical pharmacology.

Through the collaboration, the partners expect to improve the quality of clinical data related to cardiac safety and contribute to further development of clinical trials.
