Quinn & Co. goes hotel hybrid.

Quinn & Co. has created a new division to provide public relations services to the growing number of developments that marry residential real estate with a hotel or resort component.

Called Residential Hotels + Resorts, the new group is being serviced by the PR professionals in Quinn & Co.'s travel and real estate departments and headed up by agency President and Founder Florence Quinn.

The firm has already signed up a number of Residential Hotels + Resorts clients, namely: St. Regis Residences New York; The Somerset, Turks & Caicos; Cotton Bay Estates & Villas with Starwood Luxury Hotels, Eleuthera, Bahamas, and a future new condominium hotel development in New York City.

"We bring significant expertise in real estate and luxury hotels to the burgeoning number of residential resort and hotel projects in the U.S., Caribbean, Mexico and elsewhere," said Quinn. "We are already working with the U.S. media that is covering these exclusive developments."

"We understand the challenges residential hotel and resort developers face in reaching geographically disperse target audiences," continued Quinn. Toward this end, the firm is providing brokerage networking and high-profile co-branding opportunities as well as media relations. "We are also setting up an international network of PR firms as these clients are often selling to an international clientele," added Quinn.

Quinn & Co., which is known for being a creative shop, will be developing new PR initiatives, branding ideas and innovative concepts for Residential Hotels + Resorts clients.

"The explosive growth in this product is driven by financial considerations, homeowners' desire for hotel-like services and amenities, and the growing second-home market, which is fueled by aging baby boomers," noted Quinn. "Another driver is the developer's interest in harnessing the recognition and cachet of a world-class hotel brand."
