Quark Launches Quark Publishing System 7 at Ifra.


Partners Embrace the New Architecture of Quark's Next-Generation Collaborative Workflow System

VIENNA, Austria -- Quark Inc. today announced the launch of Quark Publishing System The Quark Publishing System (commonly know as acronym QPS) is a workflow mangagement system first released in 1991 by Quark, Inc.. It allows the creators of large publications to manage the process by which the publications are created, and also track the flow of created  (QPS (Queries Per Second) The number of database transactions that can be handled in one second.  7), the next generation of the world's leading collaborative workflow system. Designed with a new open, standards-based architecture, QPS 7 integrates seamlessly with existing business systems and complementary publishing solutions - simplifying the editorial, creative and production processes for publishers and corporations with demanding workflows.

Quark made the announcement at the IfraExpo and conference in Vienna, where the company will be demonstrating QPS 7 from October 8-11 in Hall A, booth 620.

Now supporting QuarkXPress 7 and QuarkCopyDesk 7, QPS 7 is re-engineered from the ground up and introduces a number of compelling new features:

* Based on Java technology, true Service Oriented Architecture, and Spring Framework Java[TM]/J2EE[TM], QPS 7 is one of the most advanced publishing systems available today;

* An updated roles-based user interface simplifies daily tasks;

* Certification with HSQL HSQL Hyperthreaded Sql  and Microsoft SQL SQL
