), announced today the appointment of two new directors, John F. Tiede and Charles Watson, to its management team. The Company has more than doubled its headcount in the past quarter and has been successful in adding key management personnel to further the growth and success of the Company.

John F. Tiede, who joined the Company in August, assumes the role of Director of Training and Development. Mr. Tiede graduated from the University of Rochester The University of Rochester (UR) is a private, coeducational and nonsectarian research university located in Rochester, New York. Charles Watson, who joined the Company in September, assumes the role of Director of Design Methodologies. In his 18 years at Austek, in addition to methodology implementation, he performed digital and analog layout design consultation for companies such as Advanced Micro Devices, Analog Devices, CHIPS, DEC, Intel, Intermedics, Level One, Motorola, Texas Instruments, and Xylinx. As a project leader and workgroup manager at Austek, Mr. Watson accumulated experience and perspective in processes ranging from Galium Arsenide to silicon-on-insulator. Before joining QIC, he was Principal Designer at Hesson Labs creating high-speed transceivers for future telecommunications products.

Joe Gonzales, who joined QIC over four years ago, continues to serve as Director of Design Services and Operations. Mr. Gonzales began his career at Motorola in 1978, where he worked on the layout of the 68000. At that time, he was one of the first 25 layout people in Austin, Texas. In 1984, Mr. Gonzales became a supervisor accountable for the physical designs of the 6805 CMOS Microcontroller. In 1986, he joined Advanced Micro Devices ("AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, www.amd.com) A major manufacturer of semiconductor devices including x86-compatible CPUs, embedded processors, flash memories, programmable logic devices and networking chips.
