Quality Carriers Signs 2-Year Deal with TREAD-1.

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 11, 2004

Quality Distribution, Inc. (Nasdaq:QLTY QLTY Quality ) announced today that its primary transportation subsidiary, Quality Carriers, Inc., has signed a two-year agreement with Instructional Technologies There are two types of instructional technology: those with a systems approach, and those focusing on sensory technologies.

Dr. Carr says that Quality Carriers had spent well over a year looking at all available professional driver training to augment and expand their own in-house training. "In the end," he says, "there was no question that TREAD-1 offers the widest range and the highest quality of training in this market. We saw that it not only has the capability to train all of our diverse fleet across two countries with consistent and standardized training, but its data management and its ability to document that training have enormous advantages from the legal and risk management perspectives."

Quality Carriers expects to have every driver take at least 8 lessons per year for ongoing training and will additionally assign specific lessons to a driver after any incident, whether an accident or a violation. They will also provide TREAD-1 as part of the orientation program for new drivers, to make sure all drivers are focused on safety.
