The month long testing of six horses, begun on June 1, is designed to test the effects of prolonged exposure to Stable Mate bedding in a horse's environment and involves adding Stable Mate to the horses' diet as well using the product as horse bedding. The horses' urine, stool and blood are then tested on a scheduled basis to determine changes in the horses' health. "We have been told by Dr. Galey, Stable Mate appears, to date, purer than lettuce," said Comfort. "We hope to have the final results of testing available by the end of June," she continued. The testing is currently being conducted at stables in Lakeview Terrace in Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California.
