Qatar National Bank Selects Chip Card Management Software from ACI Worldwide; ACI Software to Enhance Multi-Application Card Services for Qatar's Largest Bank.

 Worldwide (Nasdaq:TSAI TSAI Transaction Systems Architects Inc ), a leading international provider of enterprise e-payment solutions, today announced the licensing of its ACI Smart Chip Manager(TM) software to Qatar National Bank (QNB QNB Quinuclidinyl Benzilate ). The software will enable Qatar's largest bank to introduce new smart cards and comply with forthcoming EMV EMV Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit (German: Electromagnetic Compatibility)

As the Qatar retail banking industry continues to develop, ACI Smart Chip Manager will pave the way for QNB customers to receive simpler and more convenient bank-issued card services with multiple applications on a single smart card when the market is ready. An ACI customer for over six years, QNB currently employs ACI's flagship BASE24(R) payments software to handle over 70 million ATM and POS (1) See point of sale and packet over SONET.

With ACI Smart Chip Manager, banks can conform to interchange mandates, generate new revenue streams and reduce the growing risks in counterfeit and skimming fraud by issuing smart chip cards. The software will help QNB issue, manage and handle the data preparation for smart cards as the migration continues from magnetic stripe to chip-based cards that enable single and multiple applications to be hosted on one card. It will also provide QNB with the ability to fully manage the lifecycle of each EMV smart card, from issuance to application parameter setting and adjustment. The solution also supports management of the personalisation and production of QNB's cards.
