Qantas Airways to Be Recognized with Commendation from San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
EVENT NAME: Qantas Airways Commendation Ceremony
In anticipation of its March 29, 2006 launch of three
weekly non-stop flights between San Francisco, California,
and sister city Sydney, Australia, Qantas Airways will
receive a special commendation from the San Francisco City
and County Board of Supervisors Tuesday, February 28, 2006
at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall. Qantas Airways Vice President
Peter McLaughlin will be present to accept the honor given
by Supervisor and Board President Aaron Peskin.
Qantas Airways is a global air carrier with more than 200
aircraft offering service to 140 destinations in 40
countries. Founded in 1920, Qantas Airways in 2004
celebrated 50 years of continuous flying between North
America and Australia with more non-stop flights to
Australia and New Zealand than any other carrier.
