To create promotion and this smart koala, Qantas collaborated with Spacedog, Inc., its interactive agency of record, who enlisted the help of Malibu, California-based Conversive, Inc., to provide the state-of-the-art technology similar to artificial intelligence. ANIMAX Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based, leading animation house and partner of Conversive, created the Vic animation design.

"As a leader in the industry, we are excited to create a unique online experience to engage Internet users with this appealing, cutting edge interactive technology," said Suzanne Hornwood, e-commerce marketing manager for Qantas Airways. "Since more people are looking to the Internet as a first source of information, Qantas has provided Web site visitors the benefit of easy access to a wealth of information about travel to Australia and the South Pacific," she added.
