 QUOTRON DELIVERS RELEASE 2.0 OF QUOTRON ADVANTAGE AE;
 CHARTING, SERIAL TERMINALS & IMPROVED NAVIGATION ADDED
 NEW YORK, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Quotron Systems, Inc. today introduced Release 2.0 of Quotron Advantage AE(SM), its sophisticated new financial information system first released in April of this year. Quotron Advantage AE runs entirely on industry-standard software and hardware, including Microsoft(R) Windows(TM) and IBM(R) PS/2(R)s on the desktop, Ethernet(TM) or Token Ring LANs, and IBM RS/6000(TM) servers.
 Release 2.0 features several key enhancements, many of them made in response to customer feedback. The most notable is a sophisticated new charting application in its own window called UltraChart. Other new features include a Global Input window tied to various windows, improved navigation, an enhanced Quote window, support of low-cost serial terminals, and support of remote offices.
 R. Max Gould, Quotron's chief operating officer, said, "Release 2 is a direct response to customer requests. Our customers were really impressed with Release 1, with its ease of use, Windows compatibility and variety of services. They also had some suggestions to increase Quotron Advantage AE's functionality even more. We listened carefully to this feedback and now feel we truly have one of the most competitive offerings on the market."
 UltraChart, Quotron's new charting application, lets users graph historical price movements of a security or index in a daily, weekly or monthly format, setting their own starting dates, ending dates or number of data points to be graphed. In addition, they can graph intraday data in minute-by-minute intervals for yesterday or today. Up to 12 securities can be graphed on one historical price chart. The price axis scale can be adjusted to accommodate symbols with vastly different price ranges, thereby allowing for better comparison. In addition, a performance chart can be created to compare the performance of multiple securities in percentage terms.
 UltraChart was designed for the broker needing basic price charts as well as the more sophisticated user. For the latter, UltraChart features nine technical studies, including Moving Average Convergence - Divergence (MACD), momentum charts, Welles Wilder Relative Strength Index (RSI), Granville On-Balance Volume and Volume Accumulation charts, and fast and slow stochastics. In addition, trend lines and moving averages can be drawn on price charts. Most studies and options can be chosen using either pull-down menus or an icon bar at the top of the window.
 UltraChart provides users with flexibility to display charts in a variety of ways. The user can save chart files, each containing a maximum of eight charts or technical studies. Up to 12 separate chart files can be opened at one time and displayed side by side on the screen. In addition, the user can print charts on a laser printer, copy them to the Windows clipboard in graphic form and then paste them into a word processing document, or copy them in numeric form and paste the data into a Windows-compatible spreadsheet.
 Other enhancements with Release 2.0 of Quotron Advantage AE include greatly improved navigation in the Windows environment. A new Global input window lets users enter symbols to request data for the News, Quote, and Chart windows. In the News window, customers can use the arrow keys or mouse to scroll through headlines and then press the "enter" key or click the mouse on any headline for which they wish to see the full text of the news story. To free up screen space for displaying crucial market information, window title, menu and scroll bars can all be hidden with hot keys. Finally, the Quote window can now be accessed in three different forms to display either a major market quote, a composite quote, or prices with dividend information; dividend information can be toggled on or off with a keystroke.
 Release 2.0 of Quotron Advantage AE supports new hardware configurations as well, including the IBM 3151 serial terminal with a 14" monochrome screen. This terminal allows users to receive Quotron Advantage Services(SM) in the familiar Quotron A-Page format. Serial terminals receive these services via the same IBM RS/6000 server as PCs running Microsoft Windows, but they provide a lower-cost alternative to PCs for users who do not require the full functionality of a PC. In addition, Quotron now provides The RemoteAdvantage -- support of a firm's remote office where it does not have an RS/6000 server installed. Quotron provides this service by connecting PCs at remote offices to an RS/6000 at a central site via routers and modems.
