He was named "Entrepreneur of The Year" in 1990 by USA Today/Financial News Network, won an Emmy for his score of the historic miniseries, "Roots," and has received seven Academy Awards nominations. In 1992 he co-launched "Vibe" with Time Publishing as the first magazine to survey contemporary culture from a hip hop point of view. He is executive producer of the NBC-TV show "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air."
Mr. Jones' appointment as a Marvel Director expands the Board's presence in the youth-oriented multi-media sports and entertainment industry. Other outside Directors are Michael J.
