You're not the only one: According to a recent survey of 1,000 business travelers by Omni Hotels, 94 percent of guests take home those tiny bottles of shampoo, 88 percent take soap and 81 percent go home with hotel-provided pen and paper. Only 7 percent of travelers admit to having stuffed a washcloth into their luggage, but 22 percent said they know someone else who made off with one.

Lure of Egypt: Officials of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt will tour the U.S. this month to promote travel to Egypt. Hawaii charter: A San Jose charter company, Sun Trips Inc., will fly to Hawaii from Long Beach on weekends this summer. Sun Trips will fly a leased, 360-seat L-1011 to Honolulu and Maui on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from June 15 through Sept. 2. The company also plans to fly to Hawaii from LAX and Ontario. Fares will be as low as $229 round-trip to Honolulu, and $389 to Maui.

Make mine cherry: At 9:30 a.m. April 13, the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade will march down Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C. Movie special: Air France will operate the first nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Nice, gateway to the Riviera, to accommodate film industry travelers bound for the May 9-20 Cannes Film Festival. On May 6, the airline will offer a special flight to Nice, departing at 4:59 p.m. and arriving at 1:10 p.m. the next day. The return flight will depart Nice at 2:20 p.m. May 19 and arrive at 5:20 p.m. the same day. Both flights will be 747-400 Combi aircraft with extra cargo capacity to hold festival display materials.
