The offers are conditional on the successful ratification of an amended labour agreement and on the issuance by HunterPrint of new shares in return for the infusion, by Quebecor Printing Inc., of cash required by the company. HunterPrint is one of the major printers in the UK and enjoys contracts for weekend magazines and supplements with prestigious clients such as Associated Newspapers, Mirror Group Newspapers, and Guardian Newspapers. It produces numerous magazine titles such as Car Weekly, Parents, Today Golfer, and New Woman for EMAP EMAP Emergency Management Accreditation Program EMAP Electronic Materials and Packaging EMAP Electronic Mapping EMAP Environmental Mapping and Assessment Program EMAP Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Programme , the UK's second largest magazine publisher. HunterPrint's revenues for the last fiscal year were approximately CA $ 100M. The company has suffered from a high level of debt and severe operating problems in recent years. Quebecor Printing Inc. will recapitalize the company and will provide the technical support needed to develop the business.
