Quartz Hill, Palmdale and Antelope Valley high school Antelope Valley High School is located in Lancaster, California and is part of the Antelope Valley Union High School District. It was founded in 1912[1]. It is located in the Mojave Desert.  swim teams have been the Golden League elite. Nothing is expected to change this year.

The three schools are joined by Highland and Littlerock, which are fielding teams for just the second season. The coaches admit it will take a few years to compete with the big three.

For now, Littlerock coach Tammy Furman said, getting enough swimmers to fill every event is a challenge. Littlerock's girls team is deep enough, but Highland lags behind.

, is the deepest team and is the only school with swimmers who have qualified for the Southern Section postseason meet. Sophomore Karley Lounder swam the 50-yard freestyle in 26.39 seconds, faster than the Division II standard of 26.5. Junior Becca Maddocks went 1 minute, 4 seconds in the 100 backstroke, two seconds faster. Lounder, Maddocks, and freshmen Sarah Mannino and Crissy Maddocks have teamed to qualify in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:49, a second faster.

Palmdale's depth (60 swimmers) could challenge the Rebels for the league titles. But coach Gary Dickerson is cautious. Of the 60 just 10 are seniors, with only six of those having swum swum

Senior Jeanne Hicks is half a second away from qualifying in the 50 freestyle. She also swims the 100 freestyle. Senior Aimee Willens is adept at the 200 and 500 freestyle, and freshman Summer Robertson swims the backstroke and 50 freestyle.

The boys are led by Phillip Schafer in the backstroke and 200 freestyle, sophomore Doug Robertson in the individual medley and butterfly, and freshman freestyler Tim Young Tim Young may refer to:

The Antelope Valley
has 30 swimmers but lacks the depth of Quartz Hill and Palmdale. There is versatility. Junior Leslie Enz can swim the individual medley, butterfly, distance freestyle and backstroke. Junior Ian Palmer Ian Palmer (born 13 July 1957) is a South African golfer.

Palmer was born in Uitenhage. He turned professional in 1981 and has won the 1985 PAN AM Wild Coast Sun Classic and the 1991 Nissan Challenge on the Southern Africa Tour.
could qualify in the butterfly and 50 freestyle.

Highland is led by senior Danielle Kumaus, who also is versatile. She missed becoming the school's first section qualifier when she swam the 500 freestyle half a second too slow. She swam below the 5:35 standard in the club season and needs to do it in a high school meet. She also swims the 200 freestyle, butterfly and individual medley.

Freshman Jonathan Mejia is Highland's top boy. He swims the individual medley, butterfly and freestyle sprints.

Two Littlerock girls hold the best chance to qualify: freshman Corrina Sinzun in the breaststroke, and junior Romana Lehmann in the backstroke and 50 freestyle.
