QUARK TO BUNDLE CORELDRAW WITHIN QUARK EXPRESS.

In a move unlikely to please Adobe Systems Inc, Quark Inc is to bundle Corel Corp's CorelDraw application with both the Macintosh and Windows versions of QuarkXPress 4.0. The combination will be sold as The Professional Suite at a suggested retail price of $1,095. CorelDraw 8 competes with Adobe's Illustrator 8. Quark recently failed its somewhat ambitious bid to acquire Adobe. It will be available in January, initially in the US only. The bundling agreement doesn't appear to be a very close one, however. Although the software will come in the same box, terms and conditions, technical and customer support will be handled separately for the two products.
