QMS broadens family of multi-network departmental print systems.

MOBILE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 7, 1994--QMS Inc. (NYSE:AQM) Monday announced the QMS 3825 Print System, a high performance 38 ppm, 600 x 600 multi-network laser printer which supports full ledger (11" x 17") size printing.

In a related announcement, QMS lowered the price of the QMS 3225 Print System, a 32 ppm multi-network compatible print system. At its new price of $16,499, the QMS 3225 delivers high speed, seamless network monochrome printing at the lowest cost in its class.

Together, the QMS 3825 and QMS 3225 Print Systems provide users with the highest speed, highest resolution and best cost available for departmental print systems. QMS offers customers a complete family of high performance departmental network print systems that support multiple users in mixed platform environments.

Through the combination of QMS Crown(R) multitasking, compile-ahead technology and RISC-based processing, both the QMS 3825 and QMS 3225 Print Systems provide exceptionally fast document throughput for network and client/server users.

Crown technology, a software based, open operating environment, allows the QMS 3825 and QMS 3225 departmental print systems to serve many users on different platforms and networks, reducing the number of print devices needed in an enterprise and broadening output capabilities.
