QD Vision Announces Issuance of Key Patent in the Field of Advanced Materials for Displays.

WATERTOWN, Mass. -- QD Vision announced today the issuance of Patent No. 7,160,613, "Stabilized Semiconductor Nanocrystals," by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Issued to M.I.T. and exclusively licensed by QD Vision, the patent represents a major advance in materials that are useful for enhancing the performance of quantum dots, which are used in several applications including quantum dot light emitting devices (QD-LED) for flat displays.

The patent, which claims novel and innovative compositions, moves QD Vision closer to commercializing quantum dots for the display industry. "This innovation represents a path to realize the performance and manufacturing advantages of integrating quantum dots into electrical device structures" said Seth Coe-Sullivan, CTO of QD Vision.

QD Vision has more than 30 patent applications augmenting the patent portfolio licensed from M.I.T. and further establishing its leadership position in high-performance materials and processes for QD-LED displays.
