Putnam media sells "Processing" to Grand View Media Group.


Grand View Media Group (GVMG: Birmingham, AL), a division of EBSCO Industries EBSCO Industries is a privately held, widely diversified corporation with headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama. It was founded in 1944 by Elton B. Stephens (hence the EBSCO acronym Elton B Stephens COmpany). , has entered into the b2b publishing industry with the acquisition of Processing magazine from Putman Media (Chicago, IL). No terms of the deal were given.

Editorial includes information on new equipment, materials and products, as well as new technologies and emerging industry trends. GVMG said that editorial emphasizes processing topics related to plastics, food, chemicals, engineering, petroleum, rubber, and pharmaceuticals.

GVMG gm/vp Eddie Lee Eddie Lee made his first appearance in Hearts Of Fencing in 2003, he played the rich kid that thought that he was all that because he had so much money, a character that resembles (or probably based on) Tsukasa Domyoji (Dao Ming Si) in Hana Yori Dango (Meteor Garden).  Rider, Jr. said the purchase "represents our first step in establishing a b2b platform within GVMG. Processing magazine is the industry-leading publication in its category. Moving forward, our company will be actively seeking additional, complementary 'bolt-on' trade magazine buying opportunities."

GVMG specializes in custom publishing for the consumer and trade markets. It currently publishes 12 titles, including magazines for International Paper, Cabela's: The World's Foremost Outfitter out·fit
