Puget Sound Business Journal Announces 2006 40 Under 40 Honorees; 40 Top Business Leaders Under 40 Years Old to be Honored.


SEATTLE Seattle (sēăt`əl), city (1990 pop. 516,259), seat of King co., W Wash., built on seven hills, between Elliott Bay of Puget Sound and Lake Washington; inc. 1869.  -- The annual 40 Under 40 awards program, which recognizes 40 outstanding members of the business community under the age of 40, announced the 2006 roster of honorees. Puget Sound Puget Sound (py`jĕt), arm of the Pacific Ocean, NW Wash., connected with the Pacific by Juan de Fuca Strait, entered through the Admiralty Inlet and extending in two arms c.  Business Journal issue of September 15-21, 2006, profiles each winner.

Nominees were evaluated on specific criteria that included business tenure, business philosophy and their solutions to the business challenges that they've faced. In the end, those nominees who stood out as outstanding typically had an "above and beyond" attitude toward their commitment to their business and the overall community.
