According to Donelle Richards, Show Chairman of the Northern California Pug Club, "The Pug has been a fearless companion to man for centuries. In recent years, Pugs have skyrocketed in popularity. This upsurge in Pug popularity may be fueled by characters such as the curmudgeonly cur·mudg·eon

An undeniable reason, however, is their unique beauty and people-loving nature. "I entered the Northern California Pug Club's 4th Annual Specialty Show and the PDCA's National Specialties because I am a contender," snorted Ch.
