Overall, the 20 largest independent public-relations firms reported a combined income of $76 million, up $8.7 million, or 13 percent, over 2005. They employ 410 professionals in their local offices. THE PACESETTER EDELMAN THE LoS Angeles office of international public-relations firm Edelman tops the list of the largest firms ranked by L.A. County revenues. The Chicago-based firm reported local fee income of $11.2 million in 2006, up $2.1 million over the previous year.
