EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

THE 15 largest independent public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  agencies reported combined L.A. County net fee income of $56.2 million, a $9.7 million or 20.8 percent increase over 2003.

Rogers & Associates held onto the top spot, increasing its number to $10.6 million in 2004. Chicago-based Edelman Ed·el·man , Gerald Maurice Born 1929.

 Perez & Echeveste, No. 15 this year was one of three firms on this year's list reporting a decline in net fee income. The South Pasadena-based firm fell four spots after reporting $1.5 million in net fee income, a $500,000 decline.

Two new firms join this year's list. Los Angeles-based mPRm Public Relations debuted at No. 5 with $4 million net fee income while Chandler Chandler, city (1990 pop. 90,533), Maricopa co., S central Ariz., in the Salt River valley; inc. 1920. It is both a residential community and a center for research and technology. Tourism is also important, and the San Marcos Golf Resort is in Chandler.  Chicco Chicco is an Italian company and an Artsana subsidiary, founded in 1958. Chicco is specialized in making babies/toddlers safety equipment, clothing and toys, clothing, cosmetic products and toys for older children. It is based in Como (Lombardy).  Agency debuted at No. 9 with $2.5 million.

ONCE again, the Los Angeles-based firm claims the title of the largest independent public relations firm in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  County, ranked by net fee income. Rogers reported 2004 net fee income of $10.6 million, up $500,000, or 5 percent over 2003.

The company's business is focused on representing major corporate clients, such as American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento.
