Public input sought for Bonneville Dam master plan.


PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 21, 1995--The Portland District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, is seeking public input as it develops a Master Plan for Bonneville Lock and Dam on the Columbia River Columbia River

River, southwestern Canada and northwestern U.S. Rising in the Canadian Rockies, it flows through Washington state, entering the Pacific Ocean at Astoria, Ore.; it has a total length of 1,240 mi (2,000 km).

The "master plans" are comprehensive guides for short- and long-term use, management and development of natural and cultural resources administered by the Corps. They provide guidance for land use classifications and resource objectives. The plans are compiled after extensive research about specific areas of concern. Achieving the objectives outlined in the master plan will promote sound resource stewardship and ensure future opportunities for their public use and enjoyment.

, Home Valley, Spring Creek A spring creek is a stream that flows from a spring. Spring Creek may refer to any of the following specific places:
  • Spring Creek, Arkansas
  • Spring Creek, California
  • Spring Creek (Colorado), a tributary of the Cache La Poudre River
  • Spring Creek, Florida
, and Crates Point. Bonneville and The Dalles dams were built and are operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
