Galveston is a city and the seat of Galveston County located along the Gulf Coast region in the U.S.
, more than 230 acres of coastal wetland/beach dune dune, mound or ridge of wind-blown sand formed in arid regions and along coasts. Dunes are common in most of the great deserts of the world.
