) today announced it will hold its awards event "A Night Under the Stars" on Thursday, April 26 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. This year, the Austin PRSA chapter will host a distinctively "Austin" event with an evening of good food, lively conversation, professional networking and well-deserved awards at a uniquely Austin landmark, the Whole Foods Market on Lamar Blvd. between 5th and 6th Streets.

Each year, PRSA Austin recognizes individuals and organizations for outstanding commitment and contributions to the chapter and community as well as honoring excellence in the field of Public Relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most .

"As the field of Public Relations continues to evolve as a practice and industry, it is important that we acknowledge our peers who contribute to excellence in our profession," said PRSA Austin President Andy North, corporate communications manager for Freescale Semiconductor.
