Public Investments Company to be created late January 2009.
A public Investments Company will be created by the end of January 2009, which will be intervene under the form of public investment funds in the Algerian market, Finance Minister Karim Djoudi told APS. This new financial establishment, which will replace the Algerian Development Bank (BAD), is set to be an instrument helping operators access funds to finance the important investment projects. This new financial institution will be mainly financed by resources which will be supplied by the public treasury or raised from the national market of capitals, the minister explained on the margin of the parliament session on the examination of the government's action plan.
