The analyst stated: Revenues for the 9 months amounted to $1.5 million, primarily the result of the addition of seventeen client contracts during fiscal 2005. Net loss was $1mm while cash flow from operations Cash flow from operations A firm's net cash inflow resulting directly from its regular operations (disregarding extraordinary items such as the sale of fixed assets or transaction costs associated with issuing securities), calculated as the sum of net income plus noncash expenses was a negative $630K. Contracts valued at $5.5 mm were booked in the first 9 months, but only $1.1 million had been recognized during the 9-month period. This current booking rate if extrapolated forward should eventually generate a revenue run rate of approximately $5-6 mm annually. This revenue, however, consists of both cash and stock of the client companies, generating approximately $2mm - $2.5mm of cash revenue. The additional revenues would be in the form of stock of the client companies. Therein lies the greatest uncertainty. What will be the real economic value of these shares? The up and down gyrations of these stocks (mostly down in the last two quarters), form a dominant portion of the company's net profit or loss, making a short term P&L projection difficult. The company continues to perform well, more customers are signed up, revenues recognized and shares of its clients are accumulated in PUBC's portfolio of assets. The jury is still out, though, on whether the stock assets accumulated could be converted to meaningful cash amounts. Its valuation already incorporates significant expectations about the company's bright future. The analyst's credentials CREDENTIALS, international law.
