Psygnosis announced today that its red hot PC CD-ROM action/adventure game, DRAKAN Order of the Flame(TM), has shipped and is officially available in stores on August 20th.

Beating out the flurry of upcoming holiday season titles, DRAKAN is expected to top the PC charts in 1999 and will have an average street price of about $44.99.

Two plus years in the making, DRAKAN's release marks the beginning of a fresh creative approach to gaming for the coming millenium. A classic fantasy plot provides the starting point for the action that takes place across 11 levels within four huge, organic worlds. The game features two compelling and bonded characters; Rynn, a beautiful athletic heroine, and Arokh, a fire-breathing dragon, who together must reclaim their once peaceful world from the evil sorcerer named Navaros and his army of brutish beasts.

Designed by Surreal Software (Seattle, Washington), DRAKAN features an unusual mix of hand-to-hand combat with aerial dragon-dueling, essentially doubling the playing field area.
