Pruett Industries Announces First Distributed Temperature Systems in the Gulf of Mexico.Business Editors BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 2001 Pruett Industries today announced the successful installation of its second Distributed Temperature System (D.T.S) in the Gulf of Mexico Noun 1. This system was installed for BP Amoco on the Marlin Platform. Pruett's first D.T.S installation in the Gulf was completed in November 2000. The success of that initial installation prompted BP Amoco to move forward in utilizing fiber optic technology for subsurface temperature measurement.
