Prudential, WBAB collect aid for hurricane victims.


Prudential CRES Cres (tsərĕs`), Ital. Cherso, island, 158 sq mi (409 sq km), in the Adriatic Sea, W Croatia. Formerly in Austria-Hungary, it passed to Italy in 1918 and to Yugoslavia (of which Croatia was then a constituent republic) in 1947.  Commercial Real Estate (Medford, NY), one of the region's premier providers of comprehensive real estate services, recently donated do·nate

Volunteers, with the help of WBAB radio, collected over 100.000 pounds of donated goods and over $40,000 in cash to help the families in the Gulf Coast.

The goods collected were stored at space in Prudential CRES's Brookhaven Executive Center in Medford, N.Y. Overflow was stored in two moving trucks located in the Center's parking lot. The donations were recently loaded onto a 53-foot tractor trailer and two large moving vans which are now headed south to the Hurricane victims.
