The promotion was an offer to pay mortgage payments or rental payments for one calendar year up to $25,000. Because Mr. Tripp is neither a homeowner nor renter, Topdot will now pay him a full $25,000 directly.

"Seriously--we are extremely pleased with the excitement that the Grand Slam contest has created among WFAN Mets game listeners, said Brown. "And it has been a lot of fun for us. While we are a national home mortgage lender, the Mets are our hometown team."
