Tivoli SecureWay Policy Director for MQSeries, announced today as the first secure access management software to support IBM MQSeries, will become part of Promenix's standard offering to IBM MQSeries clients seeking to minimize security risks. Tivoli SecureWay(R) Policy Director for MQSeries provides authorization, confidentiality and data integrity, through the use of encryption The reversible transformation of data from the original (the plaintext) to a difficult-to-interpret format (the ciphertext) as a mechanism for protecting its confidentiality, integrity and sometimes its authenticity. Encryption uses an encryption algorithm and one or more encryption keys.  and digital signing, in messages sent through IBM MQSeries.

Additionally, it protects IBM MQSeries data as it flows across a public network and in the queue using public key infrastructure (PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) A framework for creating a secure method for exchanging information based on public key cryptography. The foundation of a PKI is the certificate authority (CA), which issues digital certificates that authenticate the identity of ) technology to sign and seal IBM MQSeries messages. All of these services are provided transparently to IBM MQSeries applications, meaning that applications remain unchanged.
