Projectavision's Digital Home Theater Wins Design Award At Consumer Electronics Show.

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 1997--Projectavision Inc. (NASDAQ:PJTV) announced today that its Digital Home Theater(TM) (DHT) won the 1997 DESIGN & ENGINEERING SHOWCASE AWARD at the Winter 1997 Consumer Electronics Show. The coveted award was made by a panel of judges consisting of members of the Industrial Designers Society of America as well as members of the engineering and consumer electronics trade press. The contest is sponsored by CEMA, the Consumer Electronics Manufacturers Association.

The Digital Home Theater (DHT) is the world's first dual use large screen television using the Texas Instruments' Digital Light Processor(TM). This unique product is capable of producing spectacular television pictures and high resolution SVGA computer displays in a variety of sizes ranging from five feet to 20 feet. DHT functions as a rear screen TV in the five foot screen size and comes with a de-coupling portable front projector capable of producing extremely sharp high-contrast, vivid color picturing rivaling photography in up to 20 foot sizes when projected onto a white painted living room wall.
