Project Solutions Group's Cheryl Johnson Among First Recipients of New EVP Certification.

VIENNA, Va. -- Project Solutions Group's senior consultant Cheryl Johnson has been certified as an Earned Value Professional (EVP) by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE). Johnson is one of the first professionals in the country to earn the new EVP designation, which was established this year by AACE to recognize high-level competency in the development and implementation of Earned Value Management Systems.

With more than 15 years in the field, Johnson, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), is an experienced trainer and industry expert in earned value management, project management and proposal preparation. She is leading PSG's effort to develop an earned value assessment tool, which will be used to create custom training solutions for organizations requiring Earned Value Management System compliance with ANSI 748-A and Integrated Baseline Review (IBR) readiness.

"The EVP is a testament not only to Cheryl's considerable expertise, but to her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of the profession," said Tom Westcott, chief executive officer of PSG. Johnson joined PSG from Booz Allen Hamilton, where she led the project management and controls team and maintained the company's earned value management system. Prior to joining Booz Allen Hamilton, she trained corporate clients in the operation and implementation of project management and earned value management systems for the Business Engine Software Corp. Earlier in her career, Johnson worked as a financial analyst and proposal manager for the Hughes Missile System Co. and as a project manager and financial analyst for the Standard Missile Co.

Johnson is a graduate of North Carolina State University, holding dual bachelor's degrees in business management and economics. She is an active member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering and Project Management Institute (PMI).
