 W. Gage, New Mexico Gage is a former town in western Luna County, New Mexico. It is found on Interstate 10/U.S. Route 70 twenty miles west of Deming. As of 1930, the population was 102. For some time, it survived as a ghost town, but the ruins have now been razed. A truck stop is all that remains.

We make an effort to balance every issue of the magazine with articles that apply to people with MS regardless of the type, as well as to report on progress for progressive MS whenever it occurs. Our April-May 2006 issue, available online at national mssociety.org/IMSApr06Contents.asp, contained a first-person account of living with progressive MS, along with a practical overview and reviews of seven books of particular use to people living with severe and/or progressive MS.

The National MS Society is determined to speed the pace of research on the progressive forms of MS. For instance, money earmarked for repair of the nervous system in MS is aimed largely to help people who live with the progressive forms of the disease.
