Program to introduce peace campaign

An introduction to the Department of Peace campaign will be presented Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church Episcopal Church, Anglican church of the United States. Its separate existence as an American ecclesiastical body with its own episcopate began in 1789. Doctrine and Organization

The program will include a video by Marianne Williamson Marianne Williamson (born July 8, 1952)[1] is a spiritual activist, author, lecturer and founder of The Peace Alliance, a grass roots campaign supporting legislation currently before Congress to establish a United States Department of Peace.  and a report from the State Peace Alliance and State Student Peace Alliance coordinators.

Spencer Creek Grange to host family film night

Spencer Creek Grange will be the site for "Fourth Friday Family Film Night," Friday at 7 p.m.

In addition to the film, there will be a raffle and organic popcorn.

Come while dressed in costume costume, distinctive forms of clothing, including official or ceremonial attire such as ecclesiastical vestments, coronation robes, academic gowns, armor, and theatrical dress. . Donations are requested.

Grand opening for Royal Building today

 Society of Lane County, Inc., will hold the Grand Opening of the Royal Building, 509 Main Street, Friday at 10 a.m. in Springfield.

The Royal Building features 33 units of affordable housing and prime ground floor commercial space.
