Program for the Distribution of Coastal Ports.


On November 20th, 2006 the Ministry of Communication issued the "Program for the Distribution of Coastal Ports". Coastal ports in China are classified into 5 port groups including the Bohai region, the Yangtze River Delta The Yangtze River Delta or Yangtze Delta, also called Chang Jiang Delta, or the Golden Triangle of the Yangtze (Simplified Chinese: 长江三角洲; Traditional Chinese: 長江三角洲; Hanyu Pinyin:  region, the Southeastern Coastal region, the Pearl River Delta The Pearl River Delta Region (PRD) in China occupies the low-lying areas alongside the Pearl River estuary where the Pearl river flows into the South China Sea. Since the "Open Door Policy" was adopted by the Communist Party of China in the late 1970s, the portion of the delta in  region and the Southwestern Coastal region.

(1) The port group in the Bohai region is composed of coastal ports in Liaoning, Tianjin, Hebei and Shandong.

In coastal areas of Shandong province large and specialized transit, storage and transportation facilities for large-volume bulk goods such as oil (crude oil and oil reserves in particular), natural gas, iron ores and grains will be arranged mainly at ports in Qingdao, Rizhao and Yantai.

(2) The port group in the Yangtze River Delta region is based on Shanghai Shanghai (shăng`hī`, shäng`hī`), city (1994 est. pop. 12,980,000), in, but independent of, Jiangsu prov., E China, on the Huangpu (Whangpoo) River where it flows into the Chang (Yangtze) estuary.  International Shipping Center and mainly includes ports in Shanghai, Ningbo and Lianyungang.

Receiving, unloading Unloading

(3) The port group in the Southeastern Coastal region is based on ports in Xiamen and Fuzhou and is mainly composed of ports in Quanzhou, Putian and Zhangzhou.

Receiving, unloading, storage and transportation systems for the import of oil and natural gas will be arranged mainly at Quanzhou Port.

(4) The port group in the Pearl River Delta region is composed of ports in East Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta.

Receiving, unloading, transit, storage and transportation systems for the import of oil and natural gas will be arranged mainly at ports in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Huizhou, Maoming and Humen.

(5) The port group in the Southwestern Coastal region is composed of ports in West Guangxi, coastal areas of Guangxi and Hainan.

Transit, storage and transportation systems for the import of oil and natural gas will be arranged at ports in Zhanjiang, Haikou, Yangpu and coastal areas of Guangxi.

The storage and transportation of chemical raw materials and products has a higher dependence on ports today. The 5 major port groups are therefore all distributed in important petrochemical petrochemical, any one of a large group of chemicals derived from a component of petroleum or natural gas. The cracking processes for manufacturing gasoline produce vast quantities of gaseous hydrocarbons.  production bases in coastal areas.
