Common Cell Therapy Focus Brings Industry Leaders into Collaboration

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Progenitor Cell Therapy, LLC, a leading full-service provider for the contract development and manufacture of cell therapies, and Invitrogen Corporation (Nasdaq:IVGN), a global leader in life sciences, today announced they have entered into a strategic comarketing and development relationship.

The collaboration will initially focus on the application of Invitrogen's media and cell separation technologies for cell product-based applications. This will include the proprietary Dynabeads[R] separation technology and encompass the new Dynabeads[R] ClinExVivo[TM] CD3/CD28 (formerly known as Xcyte[TM]Dynabeads[R]) developed to optimize ex vivo T cell activation and expansion in translational research while preserving T cell viability and optimal immune function.

The collaboration will comprise co-marketing, co-referrals, joint proposals, and technical consulting services provided by PCT to Invitrogen and its customers.
