Through its Life Sciences Division, Progen will distribute the PIERCE ENDOGEN brand products throughout Australia.

In addition to core R&D activities (including developing its own anti-cancer compound, PI-88), Progen operates a Commercial Services division incorporating two revenue-generating business units:

1. Contract Services -- which manufactures potential therapeutics and vaccines under cGMP standards; and

2. Life Sciences -- responsible for the importation and distribution of biological and chemical research products to laboratories throughout Australia and New Zealand New Zealand (zē`lənd), island country (2005 est. pop. 4,035,000), 104,454 sq mi (270,534 sq km), in the S Pacific Ocean, over 1,000 mi (1,600 km) SE of Australia. The capital is Wellington; the largest city and leading port is Auckland. .

In the 2000/01 financial year, Progen's Commercial Services Unit generated in excess of $2.4 million revenue. The company recently reported a significant increase of 46 percent revenue for the first six months of 2001/02 from $1.611 million to $2.355 million.
