This extends a continuous profitable quarterly trend throughout Fiscal Year 1996. Net sales Net Sales The amount a seller receives from the buyer after costs associated with the sale are deducted. Notes: This amount is calculated by subtracting the following items from gross sales: merchandise returned for credit, allowances for damaged or missing goods, freight for the Third Quarter Fiscal 1996, ended March 31, 1996, were $879,508, compared to $896,968 for the Third Quarter Fiscal 1995, ended March 31, 1995. The Company also reported net income of $41,316 for the Third Quarter Fiscal 1996, compared to net income of $47,732 during the same period in Fiscal 1995. On a per share basis, this represents Third Quarter Fiscal 1996 income of $0.01 per share, compared to $0.01 per share, for Third Quarter Fiscal 1995. Net sales for the nine months ended March 31, 1996, were $2,738,197 compared to net sales of $3,456,089 for the same period in Fiscal 1995. A decrease in contract manufacturing and increased competition for one of the Company's products resulted in a decrease in sales for the nine months ended March 31, 1996 compared to the nine months ended March 31, 1995. Net income during the nine months ended March 31, 1996 was $185,439, or $0.04 per share, $0.02 on a fully diluted basis: net income during the same period during Fiscal 1995 was $536,659, or $0.10 per share, $0.05 on a fully diluted basis.
